Alice Hocking

Last week I spent some time with my grandmother, Alice, who has her own apartment at Good Samaritan in Silverton. Her birthday is tomorrow, and she will be 98. Wow!

She loves to play the organ, and she has told me that if she could change anything about her life, she would have studied music. So I took my guitar (I'm learning to play), and we played some tunes together. (Actually, she played and I fumbled around trying to figure out where the chords were.) It was fun.

So tomorrow we will spend some time with grandma celebrating her 98th birthday!
