It's a New Year!

It's hard to believe it is 2009. Last year went by so fast - as they do each year. It was a good year and God blessed and guided us through many new changes. It was a wonderful and memorable Senior Year for Jessica.

So for 2009 - may each day be filled with peace, and may God’s love light your way through the New Year.

My Special Memories of 2008




  • January 12 – Went skiing at Lookout 1st time in 30 years
  • February – Went to Vegas to visit Jim’s daughter Adie & her boyfriend Jake
  • March 22 - My sister-in-law's mother Phylis passed away. We will miss this wonderful lady
  • May 1 – Jessica turned 18!
  • May 2 - Jessica won 2nd in the triple jump at Timberlake Invitational
  • May 3 - Jessica & Will started dating
  • May 8 - Jessica won 2nd in the triple jump in the District 1 All Star Track Meet in Post Falls
  • May 20 - Scholarship ceremony at Wallace High School. Jessica received several scholarships to help with college
  • May 17 - District 1A Track Meet @ Kootenai - Jessica qualified for State in the triple jump and the long jump with a personal best of 14.11
  • May 24 - State Track Meet in Boise Jessica finished 10th in the girls triple jump, and 13th in the girls long jump
  • May 28 – Wallace High School Sports Award Banquet. Jessica received Female Athlete of the Year, Volleyball Most Valuable Player, Irene Olsen G.A.A. Memorial Award, Girls Basketball Most Inspirational, Three-Sport Award, and Track Most Valuable Player
  • May 29, 2008 – Wallace High School Baccalaureate
  • May 30, 2008 – Jessica Graduation from Wallace High School
  • June 1 – Graduation BBQ for Jessica & Myranda at Jim’s shop
  • June 10 – Jessica left for Italy for 10 days and had a phenomenal time
  • June 24 – Jessica started working part-time for the Pizza Factory in Wallace
  • June 26 – Adie came to visit and stayed for nine (9) days
  • July 10 - 1st night Jessie stayed in her CDA duplex
  • July 13 – 1st day Jessie got out on the boat we us and we went down CDA River to CDA Lake
  • July 30 – August 2 – Vegas to celebrate Janis’ 50th birthday
  • August 20 – Jim went to Michigan to celebrate his dad’s 80th birthday, spend time with his family & had a wonderful visit with his mom
  • August 20 – I bought my first guitar to teach myself to play
  • August 25 – Jessica 1st day of college at NIC
  • September 14 – Tennis lesson with Will & Jessica at Gene Day Park
  • November – Sixth Street Melodrama Production of Godspell directed by Joy Persoon. Great message based upon the Gospel according to St. Matthew, great cast and the best time I have had with any theater production. It was a blessing!
  • November 27 – Thanksgiving at my house – a wonderful day with family
  • December 25 – Christmas at my house – a wonderful day with family
